Agricultural Marketing risk is most often thought of as the risk associated with the selling of the end product (wheat, corn, calves, cotton), but that is only part of the story.

Marketing risk is also present in the purchase of input used in the production of items used in the production process such as seed, fuel, and chemicals.

Marketing risk also includes outside forces which influence the prices paid and received for products and inputs.
